We do not provide ibogaine in Colorado yet. We provide support services around ibogaine treatment.
Nekawa Ibogaine Treatment Centers - Colorado
We specialize in helping people find addiction and mental health treatment.
Our Colorado team helps you work out whether iboga or ibogaine is right for you, find a program abroad that takes safety seriously, and get ready to go. When you come home, we help you find aftercare and keep supporting you, in person or remote.
Who we help
Addiction. Opioids, alcohol, stimulants, prescription dependence. Most people who call us have already tried the usual options, sometimes more than once.
Mental health. Depression, trauma, anxiety, or a plain sense that something has to change.
Families. Often you're the one searching. We'll talk to you too.
What we do
Three things, before and after treatment.
Preparation and iboga / ibogaine placement
First question: is ibogaine right for you at all? For some people it isn't, and we'll tell you. If it is, we help you compare international programs, including Nekawa, our sister program in Brazil, and others we know well.
Then we get you ready to go: admissions, the medical screening a good program will require, travel, and what to change in the weeks before you leave.
Aftercare programs
The weeks after treatment matter as much as the treatment. We help you find aftercare that fits your life: residential, outpatient, sober living, or community support, here in Colorado or close to where you live.
Integration, coaching, and support
Discovery coaching, in person in Colorado or remote from anywhere. A steady person to talk to while you make sense of what happened and build the life after it.
Coaching is not therapy. When you need a licensed therapist or a doctor, we'll help you find one.
Not a fit for ibogaine?
If you're not a fit for ibogaine or iboga, we also provide these services for other natural psychedelic medicines, such as psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, or Sonoran Desert toad.
Psilocybin is the one you can do here. Colorado has state-licensed psilocybin healing centers, and we can refer you to one.
How it works
From the first call to life back home.
- 1
A free discovery call
Tell us what's going on. No pitch, no pressure. If we're not the right people, we'll say so.
- 2
Screening and options
We look at your health history and medications with you, and what a program will need to see. Then we lay out the options that fit.
- 3
Preparation
Admissions, paperwork, travel, and getting yourself ready, mentally and practically.
- 4
Treatment abroad
Treatment happens outside the US, at the program you choose, under that program's medical team.
- 5
Aftercare and integration at home
We help you line up aftercare and keep coaching with you, in person in Colorado or remote.
Ibogaine is serious medicine.
Ibogaine affects the heart. It can disturb heart rhythm, it interacts with many common medications, and people have died when it was given without proper screening and medical monitoring.
So we don't start by selling you on it. We start by helping you understand the screening a serious program should require, like heart tests, bloodwork, and a full review of your medications. We only send people to programs with medical staff on site.
Part of our job is telling some people ibogaine isn't right for them. We'd rather lose a client than put someone at risk.
A Colorado team, part of the Nekawa family
We live here. That means you can sit down with someone before making a hard decision about treatment abroad, and have the same person there when you get back.
We're connected to Nekawa, an ibogaine program on the coast of Brazil. We're telling you that up front because it matters: when Nekawa is the right fit, we'll say so. When it isn't, we'll help you find a program that is.

Questions
Is ibogaine legal in the US and Colorado?
Not as a treatment. Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law. Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act decriminalized personal use of some natural medicines, ibogaine among them, but it did not create licensed ibogaine treatment. There is nowhere in Colorado to get ibogaine treatment legally, which is why treatment happens abroad.
Why does treatment happen abroad?
Because that's where ibogaine can be given legally, with medical staff in the room. Brazil is the world's leading country for ibogaine treatment centers, and there are serious programs in a few other countries too. We help you find one that takes safety seriously.
Do you provide ibogaine?
No. We don't give, sell, or supply ibogaine or any other substance. We help you find treatment, prepare for it, and support you afterward.
Is discovery coaching therapy?
No. Discovery coaching is support and guidance from someone who knows this path. It isn't psychotherapy or medical care. If you need either, we'll help you find a licensed professional, and coaching can run alongside it.
Do you only place people at Nekawa?
No. Nekawa is our sister program in Brazil, and we're open about that. When Nekawa is the right fit, we'll say so. When it isn't, we'll help you find a program that is.
What does it cost?
The first call is free. We'll go through coaching and placement costs on that call, along with what the programs you're considering charge.
Can I work with you only after treatment?
Yes. Plenty of people come to us after treatment somewhere else. Integration coaching and help finding aftercare are open to you either way.
What about psilocybin, ayahuasca, or other medicines?
If ibogaine isn't a fit for you, we offer the same placement, aftercare, and coaching support for other natural medicines. Colorado has state-licensed psilocybin healing centers, and we can refer you to one.
